BIOGRAPHY

Nikki has just graduated from the Alexander Gibson Opera School within the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under the tutelage of Lorna Anderson. Here, she has performed the roles of Monica (The Medium), Cendrillon (Cendrillon), Ilia (Idomeneo) and the most recent winner of the Ye Cronies Opera Award competition.

Nikki graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in 2021, where she won  the prestigious Alexander Young competition as well as being a member of the  RNCM Songsters. Here she had the privilege of performing within RNCM’s opera  productions, with roles including; Hen (The Cunning Little Vixen), Adina (L’elisir  d’amore)*, Angelica (Orlando)*, Clarina (La Cambiale di Matrimonio)*, Nun (Suor  Angelica). She has also covered the role of Sprite in the production of Massenet’s Cendrillon.

Concert performances form a huge part of Nikki’s repertoire, where she has been  the soprano soloist in Schubert’s Mass in C, Haydn’s Nelson Mass, Mozart’s  Coronation Mass, Poulenc’s Gloria, Handel’s Messiah, Bach Magnificat, Fauré’s Requiem. Nikki has performed at the Stoller Hall in Manchester as the Soprano Soloist in Ralph Vaughan Williams' Serenade to Music. Nikki was then asked to perform a live streamed concert with the Camerata Strumentale Italiana, again at the Stoller Hall.

Nikki has toured with the National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, performing  all over the United Kingdom. As well as performing in four different Gilbert and  Sullivan productions, she was also asked to perform in their post-performance  cabarets. This incredible opportunity helped Nikki to meet new people, explore  new places and perform new music.

In 2021, Nikki performed her debut title role with Buxton International Festival as  Cendrillon in Cendrillon by Pauline Viardot. In February 2023, Nikki had the  privilege of reprising the role, touring all over the UK.

Nikki also has a great love for song. Together with pianist Esther Ersfeld, they have formed a duo performing recitals and small concerts in and around Glasgow. Nikki and Esther have had the privilege of being finalists in the German Lieder prize at the RCS as well as the Ashburnham English Song Competition. They hope to continue making music together and enjoy their love of song.
